Q: What are the post care instructions are after dental implants surgery is done? |

A: The wound should be left alone. Avoid touching the wound with finger, handkerchief or any object. Spitting or rinsing may cause more bleeding. Use a gauze dressing to stop bleeding by softly biting for 15 minutes. Pain relief medication may be taken every 4-6 hours on the first day to prevent inflammation and swollen. Cold packs may also be used in alleviating inflammation. |

Q: Do we need to use dental floss after we brush our teeth? |

A: Yes, flossing is always recommended. Brushing our teeth is normally sufficient to keep our teeth clean. However, certain areas are not reached by simple brushing. A short string of floss can help to clean plaque and prevent its build up between teeth preventing cavities for occurring. |

Q: How can I look after my teeth after the tooth whitening procedure? |

A: Avoid consuming color-staining foods and drinks such as tea, coffee, Soda, red wine etc. for at least the first 2 days because post tooth whitening, teeth may have a higher tendency to absorb color pigmentation. Avoid hot or cold drinks, brush your teeth twice daily and visit your dentist regularly as per normal. |

Q: At what age should I have orthodontic treatment? |

A: This depends on the type and severity of the patient problems that are present:
• If the upper and lower jaws occlusion or bite is misaligned, orthodontic treatment should be started at an early age to prevent the future problems.
• If the tooth pattern is irregular at a specific area affecting jaw and teeth development, orthodontic treatment should also be started at an early age
• If there are bad or poor oral habits effecting jaw and teeth development, orthodontic treatment should started when first noted

Q: How long does orthodontic treatment take? |

A: The length of the treatment depends on case severity and patient co-operation/discipline. If the patients have the good compliance, most orthodontic treatment cases may be treated in 2-3 years |

Q: Is orthodontic treatment expensive? |
| |
A: The orthodontic treatment fees is dependent on the type of the treatment and case complexity. Please do feel free to discuss the treatment fees with your orthodontic prior to the start of treatment. |
